Dr. Kumar is an Assistant Professor at The Ohio State University, Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. He comes to The Ohio State University Medical Center/James Comprehensive Cancer Center after serving five years at the University of Michigan.

Research Interests: Dr. Kumar’s research interests focus on understanding the molecular mechanisms that contribute to tumor angiogenesis, tumor growth and tumor metastasis in order to design novel therapeutic approaches for the treatment of head and neck cancer. Dr. Kumar has been rewarded for his outstanding work with a number awards including NII Young Scientist Award, Burroughs Wellcome Fellowship and Gramm Travel Fellowship. Dr. Kumar has published more than 30 articles in scientific journals, conference proceedings and book chapters.
