The department provides fellowship educational experiences for individuals who desire to expand their areas of expertise in anticipation of full-time academic careers. These fellowships have ranged from total laboratory experiences learning basic research or, more recently, in clinical fellowships.
The clinical fellowships currently available in the department are in Neurotology,Head and Neck Oncology, Skull Base Surgery, Laryngology, and Pediatric Otolaryngology at Nationwide Children's Hospital. The Allergy and Immunology Fellowship is at OSU and Nationwide Children's Hospital. The clinical fellowship programs represent an enhancement to the resident education as the clinical fellows act as faculty to support the resident educational experience. These programs have been designed for individuals seeking a full-time academic career with a focused area of expertise.
